Will you marry me in South Africa?

South Africa's highest court ruled on Thursday that same-sex marriages enjoyed the same legal status as those between men and women, effectively making the nation one of just five that have removed legal barriers to gay and lesbian unions. Source

Finland, like other Nordic countries, allows a civil union also known as a partnership registration. It is almost the same as Marriage but does not allow adoption by the couple or sharing of a last name.
