Bow down to the Lordi

With Lordi bringing home the big dolmade from Athens this week Helsinkians will be treated to a special welcome back concert in the Market Square at 6pm on Friday. I also believe there maybe a concert on Saturday. Nevertheless I am hoping they incorporate the career alcholics of Helsinki and recreate a Thriller live performance. HKI RockCity!

Here is a link to a webcam that will show the show. Australian time is 7hours in front of Helsinki so that means you should tune in as early as 3am sunday morning, like thats gonna happen.

As summer approaches feet start itching for adventure, flowers blossom and invitations to Liza Minnelli concerts appear. This one in particular in Dusseldorf Germany. Oh the dilemma. Not going left not going right? Time will tell. A month to ponder.

City Makeover

Well impressed by the amazing streetart on display in Barcelona. Check out this site http://www.barcelonastreetart.net/ for more fine examples. Stencils, posters, stickers and graffiti make one of the most colourful cities in the world even more colourful. I managed to see many examples and have been more impressed with streetart than half the shit I see in modern art museums. Well done people.

Last Friday I showed the kids, at the school where I work, The Corpse Bride to a great response thanks Tim. One of the kids then took the time to point out that Helena Bohnem Carter was the former childhood sweetheart of her mother's boyfriend. I am sorry but as a non/hetrosexual man I would be proud to have Helena on my resume or even call that guy Dad?!.

Ringleader of the Tormentors

Last Night I Dreamt that somebody loved me and they did. This person also managed to get me a ticket to see my longtime idol Morrissey at the cable Factory in Helsinki last night. Morrissey has stood me up before back in 1991 when he claimed to be still ill, however, managaed to find time to entertain some Japanese fans. I sobbed with my friends who had spent countless dollars derived from retail and fastfood hell jobs to purchase gladioli. One friend even shaving MOZ into the back of her head. So Mel, Wiz, Nellie and Zoe kudos to you.
