President Tarja Halonen

President Tarja Halonen returns to office for a second term.

Arakme

Why is there never a Gregg Araki film shown on sunday night? Or any night for that matter The Living End would be my choice for this week.

Luke is a gay hustler. Jon is a movie critic. Both are HIV positive. They go on a hedonistic, dangerous journey, their motto "Fuck the world". “The living end” was the explosive debut of young gay director Gregg Araki, and was a centerpiece of the New Queer Cinema of the 1990’ies. “ The Living End” has been described as a homo Thelma & Louise , which is true enough - but it's also far more than that. The film takes the issues and energy of gay youth in the early 1990’s and turns them into a mad, anarchic and unsettlingly powerful experience. Araki has said of this road movie: "It's like a Bob Hope/Bing Crosby movie . . . in which Crosby fucks Hope”. source

Migraine Boy

Who said watching E! Online is a waste of time. On a recent viewing Marcia Melrose Deperate Housewife Cross became the spokeswoman for those of us who suffer with the little bastards known as migraines.

So check out Headachequiz if you are one of the unlucky ones or just read how Migraine Boy deals if u don't live in the US and have unlimited access to prescription drugs.

NO WIRE HANGERS

Well. What a lazy boy I have been neglecting my blog. It took a wonderful plug from Ms Wiz at Busting Out to entice my fingers back to the keyboard. So we are into January already and the year has already been crasy. Engagements, breeding, birthdays and moves to Oz all planned for the year ahead. Congrats to all those who need congratulating. My lordy.

Wiz also pointed out a lovely little site HEL LOOKS exposing the fashion of Helsinki. Something that I have taken for granted over the past few years, my fashion motto has been 'stay warm' , however, these lovers of fashion brave the cold and the ridicule and let their clothes speak for themselves. So Helsinkians thanks for all the visual treats you provide me with everyday.
