Whilst heading to the local Finnish Supermarket over the weekend I was met with an unusual character. Perched budda-style outside the entrance to the Arabia shopping centre was a charming woman hoe-ing down, like a blowjob, what I thought to be a sauasage. Later investigation revealled it to be a 500g tube of liver pate.

Finland you cease to find new ways of impressing me.

Ok, so we have had a pretty decent Autumn, but today was just harsh. I re-aquainted myself with the long underpants, gloves and pippo(beanie). Wednesday we should see the first snowfall of the year in Helsinki. Be kind Mother Nature.

Last night saw the small screen graced with Ms Viva la Diva -Dana International for the Eurovision 50th Anniversary Show.

Born in Izrael to a Yemenite working family in 1972. Dana went on to be the first transexual to win the Eurovison song contest in 1998.

Dana was on hand last night to spice up a rather dull Eurovision Event. The Gaultier dressed star covered the Baccara hit " Parlez vous Francais?". Abba took out the evenings prize with their song "Waterloo". The band were not present to accept the award.

Virus in de chicky

So a few new cases of bird flu have been found in Europe. Russian officials are saying they have the threat of a pandemic under control. However, I trust our Swedish neighbours in dealing with problems like these a little more. Go Chef!

So Finland is all a-buzz with the recognition of it's President Tarja Halonen by Conan O' Brien. The similarity is mild and a cheap "wacky" joke on O'Brien's part. This has been stewed over for the past 2 weeks by the Finnish press even linking the publicity gained with Mrs Halonen's presidential election campaign.

I am not even sure if you have Conan O'Brien in Oz. Anyone?

Ja'mie is in Year 11 at a private school in a wealthy Sydney suburb. She is an all-rounder, excelling in academics and extracurricular activities and is very popular with her schoolmates. Ja'mie prides herself on her looks and claims to have been a finalist in the 'Dolly Covergirl of the Year' competition.

Diva releases stench on the world.

This week saw the release of a foul stench eminating from the world's grandest of divas. The biggest and smelliest flower will wilt just 24 hours after it blooms. Unfortunately we will be stuck with Madge's efforts for a little longer. The 5 million pound marketing budget will ensure that.
